California Supplemental Examination (CSE) Dates

Important! - Clarification Regarding September 2008 CSE Administration
The September 22-23, 2008, administration of the California Supplemental Examination will be held as scheduled. The Los Angeles Business Journal article of August 25, 2008, contains erroneous information; the Board is indeed seeking an exemption to be able to use its usual proctors and passing the exam is a requirement for all California architects.
Important Note: Due to space limitations, candidates will be assigned on a first come-first served basis. When the capacity for each session is reached, candidates will be assigned to their second or third choice as indicated on their application. Please be aware that many administrations have been reaching capacity well in advance of the tentative date.
A fee confirmation postcard will be mailed three to four weeks after receiving the application. Scheduling letters will be mailed approximately 30 days before the examination date.
The CSE application is not available online. It is provided only to eligible candidates by board staff. You may contact CSE staff to request a new application if needed.
