CSE Examination Results

Mailing of CSE results

Examination results for the CSE are typically mailed to a candidate approximately 30 days after the date of their examination. Periodically; however, statistical analyses are performed by PSI which may slightly delay the release of results to candidates.

Candidates who pass the CSE will be provided with an Application for Licensure along with their result letter. Candidates who were unsuccessful will receive a result letter and a CSE application so they can reapply. Candidates must submit a new application and payment to the Board each time they take the CSE. A candidate cannot retake the CSE for at least 180 days from the date they last took the examination.

Retaking the CSE

Candidates who are unsuccessful with the CSE must wait a mandatory 180 days before they can retake the exam. This mandatory waiting period allows candidates the necessary preparation time for their future retake. Candidates who reapply within the 180-day waiting period will not receive their eligility notification or CSE Handbook until the end of the waiting period.

Appeal or Review

A candidate who was unsuccessful with the CSE and feels they were significantly disadvantaged due to a significant procedural error during the examination may write to the Board within 30 days of the date the results were mailed to request a review of their examination. The Board may take such action as it deems appropriate; however, in no instance will the review result it the reversal of a score.
