CAB licenses individual architects,
not firms or corporations. California architect licenses
expire on the last day of the licensee's birth month
in each odd-numbered year and must be renewed every
two years.
To obtain information
on an individual licensee, the Board has provided a
database file which will allow you to search by name,
city, county and/or license number. Input as little
as necessary to generate your request. Unlicensed
individuals or architects whose licenses are delinquent,
expired, suspended, or revoked are not
listed in this database.
The information is computer-generated
and subject to change as new licenses are issued; licenses
become delinquent; delinquent licenses are renewed;
licenses expire or are revoked or suspended; or as name
and address changes are filed with the Board.
For the most current license information,
you may telephone (916) 574-7220 or send an e-mail with
your request to cab@dca.ca.gov,
and provide the name(s) and any additional information
regarding the individual. A response will be transmitted
to you within 3-5 business days of your inquiry. Please
be aware that public information for licensees is restricted
to license number, name, address of record, and license
issue and expiration dates. Telephone numbers are not
provided.
If you would also like to receive any
available complaint history information on a licensee
of CAB or an unlicensed person, please include that
request for information in your e-mail.
