§ 124.5 Review of California Supplemental Examination

  1. A candidate who has failed the California Supplemental Examination may apply to the Board for review. The Board’s review shall be limited to situations where a candidate has alleged that he or she was significantly disadvantaged due to a significant procedural error in or adverse environmental conditions during the exam administration.
  2. A request for review and all supporting documentation shall be filed with the Board within 30 days after the date on which the examination result was mailed to the candidate. A request for review shall be made in writing and shall set forth the grounds for review and all of the specific facts or circumstances and how those facts or circumstances constitute the basis for review.
  3. Examination materials shall not be released to or reviewed by any candidate.
  4. Within 30 days after the Board has rendered a decision on a candidate’s request for review, the candidate will be notified in writing of the Board’s decision. In acting on requests for review, the Board may take such action as it deems appropriate, provided that such action shall not include the reversal of a failing score.
